Was driving Audi Sport Quattro Rally on Spa today and have noticed that cars in virtual rearview mirror do not have tires, just rims.

EDIT: Just tried BMW 1M, it's the same.

Those have working tires - all later versions do have issues regarding tire rendering online.
You have to wait for newer stable versions to get the newer features.

Tks_dais hmm, I’ll try to add light affecting smoke, of course, but it might be a bit too heavy to calculate as for shadows, I’m thinking about it, but can’t really promise anything at the moment, it might be way too heavy as well.

I'm using 0.1.19 and midnight dark weather, and everything but the headlights is perfect (VR, 24 cars on Nordschleife). I just miss seeing the following opponents headlights on as I see them in the mirrors, does anybody know how can this be fixed?

as you can see in the video here, there are several 'light on/off' popups, in the start the last cars don't cast light instantly. I think, because of performance. it's okay, but sometimes there is also a switch between lights, even if very near, good to see at 1:18 to 1:23. i tried messing with the ranges, but nothing really helped. on this particular track all those popups are very noticeable, f.e. lemans-night is not that bad. a track-issue maybe?

something off-topic : is it possible to add shakeiness to the f6-cameras (last part of video), from camera_onboard.ini ?! that would be cool, they look very (unrealistic) in static condition.

Ok I can`t seem to make it work!

Completely new Asseto Corsa installation, JSGME with MODS folder (I don`t have content manager).
I put ANY version of the shader patch in this MODS folder and ativate.

When loading the the track/cars, I see the "shaders" pop up saying that is loading (so, I suppose it`s all good), the race begins and the headlights of the cars do not illuminate the track or anything! But I can enter the shader menu (shift+F2).

I tried:
1 - Install more than 5 versions (with fresh Asseto Corsa installations),
2 - Instead of using JSGME, I also tried to put the shade folder in python folder and ativate the plugin in game menu (the shader appears in the options)
3 - I tried a lot of times with Asseto By Night (and Asseto By Night works just fine... moongaze por example),
etc etc etc
4 - I tried replacing the shaders to correct location in ini file.
5 - I tried turn the graphics options to the max

Everything seems to be fine (again, I see the shaders popup when the track is loading) but then the Headlights of the cars do not illuminate the track or anything else.

Any help? I would like to race at night with lights :/

John John, since a few revisions the patch does not use Reshade any longer.
For the later revisions patch to work you need to remove any remnants of the older version Reshade files (read what to look out for a couple of posts above, details have been posted a few times as people would ran into this issue you describe).

I found that overall for me the most stable version has been 0.1.20c

Any newer version (any really) has one or more issues that break the mod (some would not have actual head light projections, others would have issues with missing tires when online racing, …).

0.1.20c is the most stable and solid revision for me so far. Make sure you make a completely clean setup with all Reshade files completely cleaned out first.

All later versions I tried have no head light projections (I can see brake light illumination of the track, I can see flexing tires, just no head light illumination of any cars).
Does anyone know what causes this issue with newer revisions?

That didn't worked.
What I tried:

1 - New installation, JSGME with MODS folder with version 0.1.20C- No light projections (neither appears in the Asseto Corsa options (apps).

2 - New installation, light patch to python folder... appears in Asseto Corsa options (apps), but the cars don`t project any light.

Any additional help please?

John, I don't even know if this Dynamic Light patch is even supported to work when trying to use it without Content Manager.

If you don't have Content Manager you might want to try it out - I could not imagine to use Assetto Corsa without Content Manager - it is so much faster, better and allows so many more useful features, everyone should at least try it.

For you issue: DO NOT try to use the patch as an app - check out the installation guides a few times mentioned in the thread.
It may or may not work using just the JSGME mod installer.

For your info: the JSGME mod installer is now a fully integral part of Content Manager and it just works so much better this way ;-)

Problem solved

1 - I upgraded Asseto Corsa from version 1.6.0 to 1.6.3.

and

2 - I was copying JSGME.exe application directly from Project Cars folder to Asseto Corsa folder. This time I downloaded again (rar or zip file), the JSGME from Race Department and I notice that JSGME has 2 files. Jsgme.exe and JSGME.ini or something like that. So I copy the 2 files (instead of just the .exe) to Asseto Corsa folder and now I have lights
One of these 2 things solved the problem.

There is one thing you want in addition to your to do list. It is to make dynamic light and dynamic shadow influence particles such as smoke. In addition, it will be better for smoke to generate shadows and fall to the road.
I think that this factor is an indispensable factor in the race game of this generation.
And assetto corsa will continue to be attractive from now on I think that it is necessary to do so.
